Electoral Working Group Civics 101 Series Starts Tomorrow!

Join the Electoral Working Group tomorrow, March 22, at 7 pm, for the first of our inaugural Civics 101 webinars. We’ll be preparing and training membership for the upcoming electoral season. This first session will be focused on understanding policy and the legislative process, as well as how to effectively connect to and communicate with policymakers.

Join Us for an Elected Official Power Mapping Session This Saturday

Join us at Trinity Church (South Parish Hall) this Saturday, March 26, at 11:30 am for an Elected Official Power Mapping Session. Once again, we’ll be looking into connections and power elements behind many St. Louis elected officials.

All members of STL DSA are welcome, even if you were unable to attend previous power-mapping sessions. We recommend bringing a laptop or tablet if you have one, but it is not required. Free WiFi, refreshments and snacks will be available. 

Please note, masks are required when not eating or drinking, and we request that only fully vaccinated people attend.

Our team has raised $2,164 so far for the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF)’s spring fundraising initiative, and we are now the leading fundraising group in Missouri!

Solidarity is Brewing! Launch Call

Starbucks workers around the country are organizing with Starbucks Workers United, and DSA members are here to support them! Join the Solidarity is Brewing! Launch Call on Sunday, March 27, at 6 pm to hear from SBWU speakers, Tom Morello, Sarah Squirm and the new DSLC SC about the fight that workers are facing and how local chapters can help them win.

Save the Date: STL DSA 5th Birthday Party on March 31 & Ways to Help

STL DSA is turning 5-years-old on Thursday, March 31, and we’re throwing a birthday party!

Join us at Earthbound Beer at 6 pm to hang out with comrades, drink beer, hear from speakers and talk about some of our ongoing priorities.

The event is open to both members and non-members, and friends and family are welcome!

Additionally, this Saturday, March 26, we’ll not only be holding the Power Mapping meeting but we’ll also be crafting paper flowers for the upcoming party. Join us in the South Parish Hall at Trinity Church from 11:30 am - 2 pm if you’d like to help.

Join the Transit Caucus on Monday, April 4, at 6:30 pm, for our next meeting.

We’ll be discussing possible future campaigns, as well as ideas for a May social. This meeting is open to both members and non-members.
