Join Fast-Food Worker Strike Solidarity Event Today, July 20
Workers at McDonald’s and other fast-food restaurants are on strike.
Today, July 20, join these workers in a show of solidarity when they meet at the Schnucks parking lot at 4171 Lindell Boulevard, at 11:45 am, along with Show Me $15, Jobs for Justice, and others demanding they receive a minimum of a $15/hour wage.

Sign Up for the Last Socialist Night School!
It’s almost time for the last Socialist Night School series! If you haven’t yet, sign up for the event — Socialist Futures — which takes place next Tuesday, July 27, at 7 pm. RSVP and find the readings here.
This night-school series is intended to create a climate of political discussion, comradely debate, and shared understanding. Our classes will provide a unique educational atmosphere — one detached from the dominant, competitive for-profit model and rooted in the political struggles of working people. Everyone is welcome!. Please feel free to invite family and/or friends, as well.

Next SocFem Book Club Meetup Scheduled for July 26!
Join the Socialist Feminist Working Group for its book club! The second meeting is Monday, July 26, at the Cypress North Pavilion at Tower Grove Park, at 7 pm. We’ll be discussing the remainder of “Freedom is a Constant Struggle” by Angela Davis (chapters 5-10).

Community Committee Meeting
The Community Committee will be back in action next Wednesday, July 28, at 6 pm. Join us to discuss some of our upcoming events and how we feel about returning to in-person meetings, as well as learn how to do one-on-one conversations with both each other and our other comrades.

2021 DSA Convention Updates!
Just a reminder that this August is DSA’s biennial national convention—the highest governing body of the organization, where national leaders are elected and priorities are set.
STL DSA is sending eight delegates, so keep your eyes peeled for some upcoming events and presentations where the delegates will keep everybody in the loop on what to expect.
