June Chapter Meeting is Tomorrow Night
Our June Chapter Meeting is tomorrow, June 22! We will hear more about the upcoming national convention, including resolutions on prioritizing DSA’s electoral work.
Also, if you’re a socialist who uses public transit, you won’t want to miss tomorrow’s meeting! A few STL DSA members are organizing a Transit Caucus, and they’ll be presenting this proposal tomorrow night. Here’s the Transit Caucus Charter they’ll be presenting tomorrow.
If you haven’t yet done so, RSVP for the June Chapter Meeting here.
Note, Chapter Meetings will continue to be held via Zoom until further notice.
Join Us for a Pride Picnic This Saturday, June 26!
Another outdoor, in-person event is almost here! Join STL DSA for a picnic to celebrate Pride this Saturday, June 26, at 2 pm.
The picnic will be held in the parking lot at Trinity Episcopal Church at 600 N. Euclid Ave. We’ll have plenty of food items and beverages (more than enough for everyone who attends). RSVP for Saturday’s picnic here.
If you aren’t yet fully vaccinated, we request that you please wear a mask in compliance with CDC protocols.
RSVP Now for the Third Socialist Night School Event: What is Ideology?
With both the first and second Socialist Night School events now finished, it’s time for round three! If you haven’t yet, sign up for the third event — What is Ideology? — which takes place next Tuesday, June 29, at 7 pm. RSVP and find the readings here.
We’ll be meeting every other Tuesday night from 7 - 8:30 pm, CDT, over Zoom from June 1 through July 27. This night-school series is intended to create a climate of political discussion, comradely debate, and shared understanding. Our classes will provide a unique educational atmosphere — one detached from the dominant, competitive for-profit model and rooted in the political struggles of working people. Everyone is welcome to come to any of the sessions. Please feel free to invite family and/or friends, as well.
Each night school event will come with short readings to help ground our discussions. Find the rest of the Socialist Night School lineup under “Upcoming Events,” below.
