Don’t forget! All votes for the DSA National Convention delegates representing STL DSA are due by end-of-day this Wednesday, June 9. Last week, we sent out an OpaVote link to all members in good standing, so if you haven’t voted yet, check your email (including your spam folder)!

What are Your Preferences for Upcoming Meetings? Let Us Know!
How comfortable are you with attending in-person STL DSA meetings in the near future? Do you think masks should be required? What about meetings where meals are provided?
Let us know your preferences at the poll here. Once we’ve collected responses, we’ll use this member feedback to help plan out upcoming meetings in the next few months.
Take the Poll: When Should Community Committee Meet Next?
Community Committee wants you! Both current committee members and those interested in learning more about the work we do: Fill out this Doodle poll and let us know what date works best for our next meeting.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Socialist Night School: Sign Up for the Second Event!
STL DSA’s first Socialist Night School of 2021 was a success! Now, it’s time to sign up for the second event — Race & Class — which takes place next Tuesday, June 15, at 7 pm.
If you haven’t yet done so, Use this link.
We’ll be meeting every other Tuesday night from 7 - 8:30 pm, CDT, over Zoom from June 1 through July 27. This night-school series is intended to create a climate of political discussion, comradely debate, and shared understanding. Our classes will provide a unique educational atmosphere — one detached from the dominant, competitive for-profit model and rooted in the political struggles of working people. Everyone is welcome to come to any of the sessions. Please feel free to invite family and/or friends, as well.
Each night school event will come with short readings to help ground our discussions. Find the rest of the Socialist Night School lineup under “Upcoming Events,” below.
Join the SocFem Book Club!
If you haven’t yet signed up for the Socialist Feminist Working Group’s book club, now is the time to do so! The group has voted on and selected the first book: Freedom is a Constant Struggle by Angela Davis.
To sign up for the book club, follow these steps:
1) Use this link to create a Bookclubz account.
2) Use this Doodle poll to indicate your availability to meet. (Note, we’ll be meeting once at the beginning and once at the end of July).
Once we have the July book club dates confirmed, we’ll send a note out to the Bookclubz list, so you know how to receive a free copy of the book (courtesy of DSA).

Artists, writers, designers, photographers, social media gurus, and more: The next Communications Committee next meeting is Thursday, June 17.
Whether you’re already a member of the committee, interested in joining, or just wanting to learn more, RSVP for the meeting here.
Did You Know Members Have Access to the Meeting Minutes Library?
A few members have been asking about past meeting minutes and whether they have access. The answer is yes! Members can find meeting minutes in this shared Google library here.
Also, this library is always linked at the bottom of these weekly emails under the “Keep Up with STL DSA” section.
