Thanks to All Who Joined the Pride Picnic This Weekend!
Third Socialist Night School is Tomorrow! With both the first and second Socialist Night School events now finished, it’s time for round three! If you haven’t yet, sign up for the third event — What is Ideology? — which takes place tomorrow, June 29, at 7 pm. RSVP and find the readings here.
We’ll be meeting every other Tuesday night from 7 - 8:30 pm, CDT, over Zoom from June 1 through July 27. This night-school series is intended to create a climate of political discussion, comradely debate, and shared understanding. Our classes will provide a unique educational atmosphere — one detached from the dominant, competitive for-profit model and rooted in the political struggles of working people. Everyone is welcome to come to any of the sessions. Please feel free to invite family and/or friends, as well.
Each night school event will come with short readings to help ground our discussions. Find the rest of the Socialist Night School lineup under “Upcoming Events,” below.
SocFem Book Club Meets on July 5:
Everyone is Welcome to Join!
Join the Socialist Feminist Working Group for its first book club event! We’ll be meeting at Cypress North Pavilion at Tower Grove Park on Monday, July 5, at 7 pm. Before the event, we’re reading the first four chapters of “Freedom is a Constant Struggle” by Angela Davis, so we can discuss it that night.
Anyone is welcome to join (both members and non-members)! RSVP for the event here.
What are Your Preferences for Upcoming Meetings? Let Us Know!
How comfortable are you with attending in-person STL DSA meetings in the near future? Do you think masks should be required? What about meetings where meals are provided?
Let us know your preferences at the poll here. Once we’ve collected responses, we’ll use this member feedback to help plan out upcoming meetings in the next few months.
