THIS THURSDAY: STL DSA’s 5th Birthday Event!

STL DSA is turning 5-years-old on Thursday, March 31, and we’re throwing a birthday party!

Join us at Earthbound Beer at 6 pm to hang out with comrades, drink beer, hear from speakers and talk about some of our ongoing priorities.

The event is open to both members and non-members, and friends and family are welcome!

There are three different volunteer opportunities where members can help out during the event:

- Setting-up/Decorating at Earthbound

- Staffing Event: sign-in, food table, etc.

- Clean-up Help

Join the Transit Caucus on Monday, April 4, at 6:30 pm, for our next meeting.

We’ll be discussing possible future campaigns, as well as ideas for a May social. This meeting is open to both members and non-members.

Join the Labor Committee for both our upcoming meeting on Tuesday, April 12, at 6:30 pm, and the Organizing Your Workplace training series. This four-part series will begin with an Organizing Your Workplace 101 event, which takes place on Thursday, April 21, at 6 pm. During the series, you’ll go from being a new workplace organizer to a powerful force for your coworkers, as we discuss how to connect with coworkers, determine demands and what to expect from bosses when they push back.

Two Communications Committee Meetings in April: Writing-Focused & Monthly Meeting

The Communications Committee will hold two separate meetings in April.

The first meeting will be focused on opportunities to write and pitch articles, for those who are interested in this work. The second is our April monthly meeting where we’ll be going over all committee projects.

EWG Civics 101 Series: Second Session on Writing Op-Eds & Public-Facing Tactics

Join the Electoral Working Group on Tuesday, April 26, at 7 pm, for the second of our Civics 101 webinars. We’ll be preparing and training membership for the upcoming electoral season. This second session will be focused on writing op-eds and letters to the editor, as well as other public-facing tactics that draw greater awareness to a specific issue or candidate.
