Join the Labor Committee for our Organizing Your Workplace training series! This four-part series will begin with an Organizing Your Workplace 101 event this Thursday, April 21, at 6 pm.

During the series, you’ll go from being a new workplace organizer to a powerful force for your coworkers, as we discuss how to connect with coworkers, determine demands and what to expect from bosses when they push back.

Join us on May Day (Sunday, May 1), International Workers’ Day, for an STL DSA movie social!

We’ll be screening the Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee’s recent panel with the Amazon Labor Union (ALU). It’s a great way to get inspired by the recent labor-movement wins and get to know your fellow comrades!

The social starts at 1 pm in the basement of the SEIU Local 1/Jobs with Justice office at 2725 Clifton Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139.

Save the Date: Third Power Mapping Session This Saturday, April 23

Join us this Saturday, April 23, at 11:30 am, for a Power Mapping Session (Round 3), as we continue this in-person series. We’ll meet at Trinity Church in the South Parish Hall.

We encourage members to bring a laptop or tablet if possible, although this is not required to attend.

All members are welcome, including those who weren’t able to attend previous sessions. Masks continue to be required for all indoor events at Trinity.

EWG Civics 101 Series: Second Session on Writing Op-Eds & Public-Facing Tactics

Join the Electoral Working Group next Tuesday, April 26, at 7 pm, for the second of our Civics 101 webinars. We’ll be preparing and training membership for the upcoming electoral season. This second session will be focused on writing op-eds and letters to the editor, as well as other public-facing tactics that draw greater awareness to a specific issue or candidate.
