In a world of increasing capitalist alienation, it is not unexpected that in our fight demoralization and burnout are real factors that can and will hinder the socialist movement. To that end we, the Saint Louis Democratic Socialists of America, are establishing the Community Committee for the purposes of: bringing our membership closer together and recharging; to create a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive environment to foster solidarity; to create and build a healthy community of activists that works well together and trust each other; and to establish the type of community we also want to establish in St. Louis and across the world. Some of our responsibilities are general hospitality for all STL DSA meetings, checking in with members, and engaging with our comrades to help them achieve what they want within the organization.
